The Beauty of Parashat Shemot Part II - This is Part II of a three part teaching I'll be doing on Parashat Shemot. My goal is to investigate the literary structure of this Torah portion, suggest a reason for it's start and end at Exodus 1:1 - 6:1, investigate a subtle clue found in the story of the enslavement of Am Yisrael (the people of Israel), explore a Jewish midrashim pertaining to the passage, suggest a basis for the midrashim and then demonstrate why, in some instances, Jewish midrashim are so close to the reality of Messianic truth! Whew! That was a mouth-full.
