The weekly Sfas Emes is now available in a Sefer. The Seferis called Emes Ve'emunah : A Sfas Emes Companion. This Sefer contains all of the materials in the weekly emails, plus new insights. The Sefer also contains the text in lashon hakodesh on which the Sfas Emes worked to produce his ma'amar. Accessing the the Sfas Emes via the Sefer offers advantages. You have the week's Torah without having to print the email. You have the Sfas Emes' text--which could not be sent by email. Also many people who would enjoy the Sfas Emes do not have internet. You can purchase this Sefer at your favorite bokstore, or online, at the Targum or Feldheim websites. Emes Ve'Emunah will also be available for purchase or perusal at the SOY Seform Sale, January 15-January 24.
Parshas Vayikra
Sfas Emes, Zechuso Tagein Aleinu, Parshas Vayikra, 5631

The Sfas Emes begins with the first Medrash Rabba on Parshas Vayikra. That Medrash starts with a comment by R. Tanchum on the pasuk in Tehillim (103:20): "Borachu HaShem mal'achav, giborei ko'ach, osei retzono, lishmo'ah bekohl devaro." (ArtScroll: "Bless HaShem, O His angels; the strong warriors who do His bidding, to obey the voice of His word.")

3rd day of 13th month of 6010A
Dear,

Greetings my brethren!  This week we continue our journey of learning about the Four levels of Torah study. For me, understanding the 4 levels of Torah study has provided a much needed "mental mind map" to understand the scriptures.  I found I could navigate so much easier on the terrain with map and compass in my hand.
compass

My hope and prayer is that as we wrap up this two-part study, that it will give you a map and a compass so that you can dig deeper in the word and uncover buried treasure for yourself, seeing shadow pictures of our beloved Messiah in the Torah, and seeing our future as we read about our past.

Have a blessed week!

Shaleeakh - Vayikra "And he called"

ABOUT Torah?

That also through them The האור Light, רפואה The Healing and The ואהבה Love of ישועת יהוה Yeshuath YHWH may come back to הארץ The Land of Israel?
Vayikra (Leviticus) 1:1- 5:26

Vayikra makes it clear that there are two types of offerings. The first type of offering is freewill. These offerings are designed to enhance an individual's relationship with HaShem. Therefore, the freewill offering is symbolic of voluntarily commitment. The second type of offering is mandatory. The mandatory offering is for the rectification of sin. Mandatory offerings require an individual to acknowledge he or she is responsible for transgression against the commandments of HaShem. Freewill offerings and mandatory offerings serve as a reminder that living by the Torah is both a decision and a responsibility.

Parshas Vayikra
Yeshaya 43:21
This week's haftorah displays Hashem's unbelievable compassion for the Jewish people. The prophet Yeshaya begins by characterizing the Jewish people as the nation created to sing the praises of Hashem. Yeshaya continues and says in the name of Hashem, (43:22) "And you didn't even include Me for you were too tired for My service." The Yalkut Shimoni (as loc) explains this passage to refer to our inappropriate attitude towards the service of Hashem.

He sends His Word and Heals Our Diseases!
Your prescription is to use these verses to change the way you think about yourself, your sickness, and your healing!

bible

Romans 10 tells us that faith comes from hearing.  Faith moves through words!  What words are you allowing to come out of your mouth when you face dis-ease or sickness?

We should read, speak, and memorize the word to help flow in the faith.   Below are just a few of the Scriptures about healing.  These are small enough to be written on a business card sized bit of paper, carried around and memorized.
