Ardelle's commentaries on Emor

Can we do תפילות prayers for:

Ardelle and Cal?

That also through them The האור Light, רפואה The Healing and The ואהבה Love of ישועת יהוה Yeshuath YHWH may come back to הארץ The Land of Israel?

Shalom my friends!

This is my favorite time of year and we are enjoying spring in the forest.  I am totally amazed at how many plants want to grow there.  Areas where we had claimed as ours are already covered with a variety of weeds, roots, and unidentified greens.  Gardening proves to be a challenge out here, especially for the inexperienced.
The bugs have not arrived yet and hopefully there won’t be as much rain this year to attract them.  Last year I sent out a little piece about the weeds and their root system.  I am including it once more:

I am sending a couple of pictures that I took in my garden.  First here is the verse it reminded me of:

Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see Adonai: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of Elohim; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

The first picture is of the small sin, just a simple weed growing in my garden.  It was soooo tiny.  It seemed so insignificant.

The second picture is of the root system.  If you look closely, you can still see the tiny plant in the top right hand corner.  But look at the root system this thing came from!!  To only chop away this small plant at the ground level would have pruned the root system allowing it to grow even bigger!  Is this what we often do with those “little sins”?  Do we cut off what shows to the world, and keep the root allowing the sin to become even worse?

Psalm 139:23 Search me, O El, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting

Happy gardening as you chop out those roots and Shabbat Shalom!
Ardelle
