Sign of Jonah By Dan & Brenda Cathcart When the Pharisees and Sadducees came to Yeshua seeking a sign from heaven, Yeshua rebuked them for their inability to discern the times.

Matthew 16:1-4 MKJV 1 The Pharisees and the Sadducees came to Him, tempting Him. And they asked Him that He would show them a sign from Heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, When it is evening, you say, Fair weather; for the sky is red. 3 And in the morning, Foul weather today; for the sky is red and gloomy. Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky, but you cannot see the signs of the times! 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. And there shall no sign be given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah. And He left them and went away. Matthew 12:38-40 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we want to see a sign from you. 39 But He answered and said to them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign. And there shall be no sign given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so the Son of man shall be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (MKJV) The Messiah would die, be in the grave three days, and be brought back to life
