Ardelle's commentaries: Bo

Can we do תפילות prayers for:

Ardelle and Cal and their ministry?

So that through them The האור Lightרפואה The Healing and The ואהבה Love of ישועת יהוה Yeshuath YHWH may come back to הארץ The Land of Israel?

Shalom Chaverim (friends),

Bereshith 1:1 In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth (eretz).

This week we have literally had our hands in Elohim’s creation, eretz Yisrael.  Soon after Elohim created the heavens and the earth, He took Adam and placed him in the garden to till (avad) and keep it.  The word for till (avad) is most often translated as serve.  When one served (avad) YHWH, it was not bondage, but a joyous, liberating experience.  This week we have been serving in the gardens of the Land of Israel.  We are planting seeds in the Father’s creation, and picking  it’s fruits.  It is a service of love.  In fact, in this week’s Torah portion, we see serve (avad) translated as worship:

Shemot 10:3 So Moshe and Aharon went to Pharaoh and said to him, "This is what YHWH, the Elohim of the Hebrews, says: 'How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go, so that they may worship (avad) me.

Man’s commission to work is not just the result of sin, but according to Bereshith 2:15, Elohim first put him in the garden to work it.  Working is the same as worship if you have the right mindset, always remembering who you serve.

Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to Adonai and not to men.

Shabbat Shalom!
Ardelle
