What is Shabbat Shalom?   Jews all over the world read a portion of the Torah, the Five Books of Moses, in the synagogue every Shabbat morning.  The cycle begins right after the Feast of Tabernacles and concludes the following year at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles.  Traditionally, Jewish families discuss the Torah portion at their Shabbat Table, bringing new insights, each year, to the same inspirational words and stories that they have been reading for years. Bet Yatir Say YES! to Israel Samaria Trees	Vayetzei (and he (Jacob) left) Genesis 28:10 - 32:3 This week's Torah portion is dedicated to the sojourn of Jacob in the house of Laban. It begins with his departure from Beersheva (Genesis 28:10) and ends with his entrance into the Land of Israel at Machanayim (Genesis 32:3). Interestingly, the portion does not end at the conclusion of chapter 31 but adds on an additional 3 verses in Chapter 32. These concluding verses actually provide appropriate "bookends" to Jacob's time out of the Land of Israel. As we saw in last week's portion, Jacob is an innocent young man, quite unlike his brother Esau. Actually one interpretation of the dispute between Rebecca and Isaac as to which blessings Esau and Jacob should receive respectively is that Isaac didn't see a need for Jacob to receive earthly blessings. He had every intention of conveying the blessing of Abraham to Jacob, which in fact he does at the end of that story, but he envisioned a division between Jacob and Esau between spiritual and earthly blessings. Rebecca, on the other hand, understood that if Jacob was going to be the father of the Nation of Israel, he would not only need righteousness and innocence, but he would need earthly blessings as well. And he would need cunning in order to deal with the enemies that would plague our nation from time immemorial. Jacob's subterfuge towards his father Isaac can be seen as his first exercise in cunning. His sojourn with Laban was one long lesson in survival within a hostile environment. Innocent Jacob is tricked out of his wife, his beloved Rachel, and is forced to work a total of 14 years before he can be free of his obligation to Laban. But after those 14 years, he is no longer an innocent. He devises an elaborate plan to enable him to leave Laban as a wealthy man. And in fact, Jacob escapes from Laban just in time, once he realizes, with a perception he did not have earlier, that Laban is "not with him as in previous days." (Genesis 31:2). Rebecca grew up in Laban's household. She is not an innocent like Jacob and is well aware of the lessons that Jacob must learn in order to survive in a hostile world. To survive, in fact, in the face of his own brother Esau who is plotting to kill him. She sends him to her brother Laban for just that lesson. Jacob leaves Beersheva an innocent man and is immediately met by angels as he dreams of their ascent upon a ladder to heaven. Jacob returns to the Land of Israel, still a righteous man, but one far more aware of evil and its threat to his survival. Upon his entry into the land, he is again met by angels: "And Jacob went on his way and he was met by angels of G-d. And Jacob said, when he saw them, this is a camp of G-d, and he called the place Machanayim." (Genesis 32:2-3) The midrash records an ancient tradition that Jacob was accompanied by angels to the border of Israel, where they then switched places with angels who were to escort him and protect him throughout his visit with Laban. Hence, the meaning of the angels ascending and descending from the ladder. When Jacob returns to the Land of Israel, he is again met by the angels of Israel, welcoming him back to his land, to the place that would become the land of his children, where G-d and His angels would escort and protect the children of Israel for eternity. Nowhere is that statement more true that in the life of Jacob. The account of his life during the years with Laban, the marriages to Leah and Rachael and the birth of the first children is a story no one could have ever dreamed up! The twists and turns of this man's life at times make you sit just shaking your head in disbelief. When we consider that this man is one of the Patriarchs and that his sons are the ones whose names are inscribed on the gates of the New Jerusalem - well, let's just say it gives us hope for our lives today. Yes, this is the story of those whose family we are grafted into. And we wonder why we look a bit dysfunctional at times. Looks like the nuts did not fall too far from the tree on this one! In the account, Jacob has finally had enough of Mr. Nose Ring, Laban, and decides it is high time for him to take his family and head back to the home he has been promised. But will the story of his return be any more normal than his life to this point? Of course not! Another saying that comes into play this week is that "Love is blind." This is certainly true in Jacob's relationship with his favored wife Rachael. It has been over fourteen years that he has been in love with her, and in fourteen years he has been blinded to a part of her life that we will read in coming weeks would continue to bring heartache to his life and to his family. What is this part of Rachael's life? We find it in Genesis 31:19 when Rachael steals the household idols of her father, Laban. To understand this act we have to understand what these idols were all about. These idols were carvings of false gods which Laban worshipped. He had no doubt taught his family they were bringing blessings and some sort of "luck" to his family. Rachael had seen her father trust in these little idols and had heard him tell stories of giving them credit for the blessings of his life. Rachael bought into this and accepted it all as truth. Along comes Jacob and during the years of work and marriage to Rachael, he tells her of this "New God," the God of his father and his grandfather. When it comes time to leave Rachael is in a bit of a spot. Does she forsake her father and his gods to follow her husband and his God? What if we just appear on the surface to be following the God of Jacob, but just in case He does not come through, we reserve something to fall back on? Now that sounds like a good idea, does it not? About this time, we should all be staring at these words and asking ourselves a very serious question, "Just how much of Rachael's attitude is in our lives today?" Yes, "OUCH" is a very appropriate word to use here! Through the years that I have been pursuing Torah, I have seen a multitude of people come and go. Many have come in with the attitude of "I will give this 'Torah Thing' a try, but if it does not work out for me, I can still go back to the way I grew up." Or better yet, they decide to carry both at the same time, just seeing which one will work out better for their needs in the end. We will see in coming weeks how riding the fence did not work out very well for Rachael. In fact, as we continue to read the Torah, we will find this approach does not work out very well for anyone. This is not a day to be found wavering. It is a day to make clear choices of just which direction we are going in life. Will we truly serve the Elohim of the Scriptures or will we serve the lies and falsehoods that have been handed down through the past centuries? Many still need to make that decision! I can think of no better month to decide our path than the one which we enter this next week. Will we stand with the Torah faithful during the time of Hanukah or will we trust in idols of trees, ornaments and lights of the false gods? Dear, Monday this past week was the first day of the month of Kislev. We have rewritten the central article for Kislev on our website and a link can be found below. On Sunday, the first day of Rosh Chodesh Kislev, Harav Ginsburgh visited the Gal Einai elementary school in Jerusalem. He discussed the essence of the month of Kislev with the children and encouraged them in their studies. One of the points that the Rav made was that the first day of Rosh Chodesh Kiselv, which is still the 30th day of Cheshvan serves as an intermediary between the two months. The letter of Cheshvan is נ (nun) and the letter of Kislev is ס (samech), thus on Sunday the two letters were unified forming the word "miracle" (נס). This coming Sunday (Nov. 14th), Harav Ginsburgh will be lecturing at Ascent of Tzfat. Lectures will be broadcast live over the internet. See below for more information. The spiritual essence of Kislev The name Kislev derives from the Hebrew word kesel (כֶּסֶל), which means either "security," or "trust." There are two states of trust-one active and one passive-both of which manifest in the month of Kislev, which in the human body correspond to the right and left kidneys, respectively. In Hebrew, the word for kidney is also kesel (כֶּסֶל).... When Jacob blessed Benjamin before his passing, he likened him to a wolf. Based on this blessing, Jacob is symbolized by a wolf. The wolf, representing craving and gulping down food without chewing (wolfing it down), symbolizes Benjamin's mundane craving for God and his ability to excite others about grabbing Divinity wherever and whenever it can be found. In the body, the kidneys are identified as the source of craving, and as noted earlier, one of the meanings of the name Kislev is kidneys. In addition, the kidney's are the seat of the sefirot victory and acknowledgment whose inner essence and motivating force are active and passive trust. Shalom Chaverim (friends),

I wanted to pass along a bit of an update to last week’s skunk story.  We now have an outside dog!  Belle is a six month old golden retriever with a very sweet personality.  Hopefully her presence alone will keep many of the nocturnal animals a little farther away, because it certainly won’t be because of her aggressiveness!  Next week I’ll try to send you a picture.

ACCELERATION    Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. Matthew 24:22 Shabbat shalom dearly beloved! On Feast of Trumpets, Yom Terua (Rosh Hashana) this year of 5771, the Spirit of Adonai spoke to me only one word: ACCELERATION In 2001 we visited Chile my native land from which my family made Alyah returning to the Land of Israel after 2000 years of exile. On Christmas Day, I was in the balcony of the hotel praying and suddenly the Presence of YHVH got very strong. Under the weight of His presence Y’shua asked me a question: “What would happen if I would return today. How many nations would be “Sheep Nations”? When Yah (God) asks a question it is better to be quiet and listen. Immediately Matthew 25:32 came to mind! But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. "All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another,  as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:31,32 He continued speaking to me and said: “I will judge the nations by these two principles; by my righteous laws and Commandments and by how they have treated My People, Israel” I instantly knew that there was not even ONE nation that would qualify as a Sheep Nation after 2000 years of supposed “gospel”. How can it be, is the gospel so weak or is it that we are preaching the wrong gospel? I broke before the Almighty and said “Abba forgive us; we the Church, have not done the job”. He said “The Church has done the job, but has done it wrong as it has taught all the nations to hate my laws and commandments preaching a deceptive theology that “My law is done away with!” and teaching the nations to hate My Jewish People!” (This is the fruit of the infamous Replacement Theology that still many Christians hold so dear and defend with all their might!). Truly all persecutions, pogroms and exterminations of Jews since the 4th century and the establishing of the Council of Nicae as Church Doctrine have been in the name of Christianity and Jesus Christ! The Church has much to repent of and to make RESTITUTION to the Jewish people on behalf of these past sins. Even in the present, large quantities of churches and Christians side with the Palestinian cause to divide Jerusalem and blot Israel out! They make shrewd plans against Your people, and conspire together against Your treasured ones. They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation that the name of Israel be remembered no more. Psalms 83:3,4 I broke before the Elohim of the Universe and asked Him to give us MORE TIME so we can preach the original Gospel “made in Zion” (not in Rome or Babylon) to all the nations. I wanted to “borrow time” in order to cover as much territory as possible and provoke as many to repentance as possible so there could be “Sheep Nations” at the end of this age! All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:32 He goes on to say that He was hungry, naked and imprisoned and they cared for Him. When asked when did they (the Gentile Nations!) see Him (Yeshua the Messiah!) in that condition, He answered, The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.' Matthew 25:40 The “ brothers of Y’shua” here are the Jews. In this passage He is speaking to the nations and telling them that they did not care about Israel and did not assist Israel in her distress. Israel has been in distress for 2000 years since her exile but  even since 1948 when the Miraculously Reborn State of Israel was established! We have been surrounded with hostility, enemies and wars from day one! Now Ahmadinajad the President of Iran has visited his “puppet country” Lebanon and has come right to the Northern border of Israel to declare total annihilation for Israel in October this year!  He was cheered by many as he made this horrendous “Nazi remarks” just like Hitler over 70 years ago! And yet NO ONE raised their voice in the press or in the TV or the UN to confront him or to seriously rebuke him! Beloved it is happening AGAIN, the world is set for another SHOA (wrongly called “Holocaust”) of Jewish People but this time not only outside of Israel but in Israel. Where are the major Christian organizations? Are they pressurizing on their governments to stand by Israel and to oppose Ahmadinajad? No, they are mostly SILENT, why??? Because Replacement Theology has blinded their eyes and they cannot see that a true believer in Messiah is Grafted into the Olive Tree being Israel! But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you. Romans 11:17,18 There is NO Church without Israel, there is NO Bible without Israel, there is NO Gospel without Israel, there is NO Messiah without Israel! There is NO blessing to the nations without Israel being blessed FIRST! But glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Romans 2:10  When the Scriptures talk about “the Elect” it means Israel, the Jewish People. That is the case all over the Book of Daniel as well! Israel has been,  is and always will be the Elect or the Chosen People. All believing Gentiles are grafted into her and joined together with the Elect! From the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Romans 11:28,29 For the sake of Israel, the Chosen People, the Elect, YHVH is shortening the times! He will not allow another SHOA right here in the Land of Israel. He MUST act quickly on behalf of His Chosen nation! What does that mean for the nations? It means more and more judgments and terrible catastrophes. And what does it mean for the Church? For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17 The Hand of YHVH is heavy upon all nations and especially  upon those who profess the name of His son Yeshua! He is calling us to REPENTANCE in every area of our lives and most particularly of everything connected with the deathly theology, Replacement Theology! There is no more time left to “ponder” and “wonder” if you will stand with Israel or not. If you will agree with YAH and His word or not! He has given the nations 2000 years since the exile of Israel and now, He is calling ALL nations to REPENTANCE for the cause of Zion. The nations are FIRST represented by their PRIESTS and those are the Christians in the nations. First YAH calls the Priests to repentance and then the governments! This is the URGENT Message of the hour! For YHVH has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion Isaiah 34:8 In February 27th of 2010 an 8.8 in the Richter Scale earthquake hit Chile, my native country where I was visited with the Message of “Sheep Nations” . According to the geologists the earth shifted (was shaken from its place!) 8 Centimiters which caused the SHORTENING of the day as we know it! The day is not exactly 24 hours anymore! In the same place where I begged the Almighty for MORE TIME in 2001, in 2010 he said, (see the “coincidence” of the reversing of the last two numbers!) NO! No more time! Rather ACCELERATION! Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken from its place at the fury of YHVH Zevaot (the LORD of hosts) in the day of His burning anger. Isaiah 13:13 Is it a coincidence that it was in Chile where I received this Message about “Sheep Nations”?
