The Bride Understands the Love Letters Under the Renewed Covenant: A Study in Romans 7

© Copyright Double Portion Inheritance, October 2009
I wrote this thesis in response to a Christian Pastor’s wife from South Africa who wrote to me and spoke blasphemy against the Holy Law (Torah) of Elohim (God). She had written the most outrageous teaching about how “The Holy Torah (Law of YHWH) is the Whore of Revelation 17.”  She said that MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS spoken about in Revelation 17 is not the Vatican but she erroneously called this whore “God’s Law.”  What could possibly be responsible for making her believe such gross lies and blasphemy against the word of our Creator?

My response to her was this:

In Luke 4:4 Messiah said this: “And Yahu'shua (Jesus) answered him, saying, It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of Elohim (God).”

Which “word” do you think that Yahu'shua intended for us to live by, if the New Testament was not even in print yet when he said this? The question that I posed to her was this: “do you think that the first five books of the Bible might have been included in this word which Yahu'shua (Jesus) told us to live by?”

Here is what she said to me in response:

“Armageddon was the crucifixion - the sun hid its face, the earth shook, the veil was ripped……and sorry to tell you this but ‘the harlot’ in Revelation is the law. The 144,000 are already in heaven. Do you honestly think that Jesus died for only 144 000 people? ……The book of Romans compares someone who would be under two covenants to a women who has two living husbands, declaring such to be an adulteress.”

This same Pastor’s wife wrote to me in another message:

“...The god of this world is the law- take it or leave it. We are the light of the world - why would you want to crawl around in the darkness? Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet .....Jesus came to set the captives free, Maria came to put them back into bondage.”
The Apostle Paul Explains Both Covenants
What follows is an in-depth study I did about the 7th Chapter of Romans as I clear up this gross misunderstanding of the Apostle Shaul's letter to the Romans.

Romans 7

1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

Here, Shaul (Paul) is talking about the first law in its corruptible form (in stone) which never made its way into the hearts of men, but remained detached and impersonal. This law was “broken” because it represented a broken marriage contract. Israel committed harlotry with the golden calf, so YHWH ended their marriage contract by breaking the stone tablets.

Romans 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

What is the Apostle Shaul (Paul) talking about here? In order to understand what he means, we must find out how Elohim (God) dealt with his wife, the nation of Israel in the Old Testament.

When Israel committed harlotry with the golden calf at Mount Sinai (because of their unbelief), YHWH broke the marriage covenant by having Moses break the 1st set of tablets.

Then another covenant was given with the very same laws, but the second sets of tablets were presented with the blood atonement (tabernacle, sacrificial system) and this was a picture of the cross of our Messiah. With the second set of tablets, the people had been chastised and they were now in faith. YHWH re-established a “renewed covenant” at Mount Horeb which was identical to the first one, but it was “renewed” by the blood atonement as the tabernacle was set up according to the exact specifications YHWH commanded through Moses.

Israel later on committed adultery again (with her Ba’al’s) as seen throughout the entire Old Testament. We especially see this in the book of Hosea, Jeremiah, and 1st Kings. The word “Ba’al” literally means “Lord, or husband.” Israel had a generic title for all her false gods who were reincarnated from the Tower of Babel each year on December 25th. This pagan sun god started out as Nimrod, then Tammuz, Horus, Apollo, Zeus, Krishna, Mithra, Bacchus, “False pagan Jesus” and many others who were reincarnated on this date.

YHWH was so angry with Israel for committing adultery on him with this pagan sun god that he vowed to destroy her in Ezekiel 19. He finally wrote Israel a divorce certificate in Jeremiah 3:8. Now Israel was married to her “other husband” (Ba’al) the false gods who are reincarnated each year on December 25th at the winter solstice. Because YHWH loved her so much, he formulated a plan whereby he could marry Israel once again without breaking his own law.

We find out from the Law of Moses, that a husband could not re-marry his wife once he divorced her and she became married to another man:

Deuteronomy 24

1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before YHWH: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which YHWH thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.

So you see, YHWH will not break his own law, therefore, if he divorced Israel in Jeremiah 3:8 and wrote her a certificate of divorce, and then she married the generic gods known as “Ba’al” (husband, Lord), YHWH cannot take her back again to be his wife.

But what if the second husband divorced Israel also and the first husband dies? This is exactly what happened!

We read in the book of Hosea, that Israel was divorced twice. She was divorced by YHWH in Jeremiah 3:8, and she is divorced again by Ba’al---the pagan gods who have forsaken her in Hosea’s prophecy.

But since she cannot go back to her former husband according to the Law of Moses, her first husband, YHWH comes to earth in human corruptible flesh. Israel deserved to be stoned to death as an adulteress according the Law of Moses, but her husband, YHWH loves her so much that he decided to “die in her place”!

In order for YHWH to take Israel again to be his wife she had to become a widow. So what did YHWH do in order to make her his wife again? Isaiah 54 tells us what he did in order to make Israel his wife again:

Isaiah 54:

1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith YHWH.

*Note: The Hebrew word desolate means “divorced, widowed, forsaken.”
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.

*Note: How did Israel become a widow? She crucified her own husband who came to redeem her in the person of Yahu'shua Messiah!

5 For thy Maker is thine husband; YHWH of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The Elohim (God) of the whole earth shall he be called.

6 For YHWH hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy Elohim (God).

*Note: Who is the one who created Israel? Colossians 1:16 tells us that Yahu'shua created all things in heaven and in earth. Yahu'shua is YHWH himself in human flesh.

Isaiah 43:11 “... I, even I, am YHWH; and beside me there is no saviour...”

If there is no other saviour besides YaHuWaH, and we know that Yahu'shua Messiah is also called our Saviour in the New Testament scriptures, that can only mean one thing! YaHuWaH and Yahu'shua are one and the same person!

In the next verses of Isaiah 54, we find out that the next time YHWH marries Israel; it will be as “in the days of Noah.”  This means that the earth will be baptized once again, but this time instead of being baptized in water, Yahu'shua will baptize the earth in fire. YHWH repented that he had made man, and therefore, he water baptized the earth (which is symbolic of repentance). The earth will be baptized in fire and the Holy Spirit by Yahu'shua Messiah himself and this will happen once again when the “Son of Man” comes back to earth “as the days of Noah” (Matthew 24:37).

Isaiah 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

Here, YHWH swears that he will no longer be angry with Israel and that he will no longer rebuke her. When Yahu'shua Messiah returns to earth for Israel, the Mount of Olives shall “depart” (Zechariah 14:4) and his kindness towards Israel will never again depart. His everlasting covenant with Israel will be established at the Millennium with the “Wine of the Covenant” and at this point, the marriage will be “consummated” and this is when the New Covenant will be fully implemented on that wedding day, “The Marriage Supper of the Lamb” with his bride, Israel (along with the grafted in church).

Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith YHWH that hath mercy on thee.

In the next verses, we find the prophecy of Revelation 21 being intimated by Isaiah. We read in Revelation 21, about the New Jerusalem which will come down out of heaven as a bride adorned for her husband.

Isaiah 54:
11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.

Revelation 21:
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

Now, let us continue to Romans 7, where the Apostle Shaul (Paul) is drawing a metaphor about the first marriage covenant YHWH made with Israel (which ended in divorce because of her idolatry) and the second one he made with Israel sealed in Messiah’s blood.

What we learn is that YHWH himself came to earth in the person of Yahu'shua Messiah and laid down his own life for Israel so that he could once again be married to her. Her first husband, YHWH divorced her because of her idolatry with “Ba’al” (husband, lord), and then her second husband (Satan disguised as pagan sun gods), also forsakes her, as we find out in the book of Hosea:

Hosea 2:7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

And now we understand what the Apostle Shaul (Paul) is talking about in the next verses:

Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Messiah; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto Elohim (God).

Now we understand that the first law (in stone) was never meant to be kept because YHWH knew that Israel could not keep a covenant written in stone. He knew that this was impersonal and that we could not keep it this way. So why did he do it? Because YHWH wanted Israel to hear his voice directly at Mount Sinai, but they refused! So what did he do on the day of Pentecost (Shavuot)? He did the very thing he had intended to do at Sinai. He restored our ability to “hear his voice” by writing his laws in our hearts and in our minds!

Elohim was always after “relationship” and not merely some mechanical obedience to written instructions in stone or in scrolls. So the first “Law” (in stone) was made corruptible in the person of Yahu'shua. Yahu'shua is “the word become flesh”  (John 1:1) and he was crucified on the cross. His corruptible body (like those stone tablets) were broken, and so the “Law” (the living word) was destroyed in its corruptible form. But this very same “Law” (in the person of Yahu'shua) was resurrected into an incorruptible form!

The very same “Law” (Yahu'shua, the Living Law) is with us once again in a “Renewed Covenant” in an incorruptible form called "The Law of the Spirit of Life" (Romans 8:1-3) It is the very same “Law” only now it is incorruptible and it is written not with ink but in “fleshy tables of the heart” (2nd Corinthians 3:3).

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Here, Paul is explaining that sin was made evident in our lives by the presence of the “written law” (in stone, or scrolls). He pre-qualifies this by saying “when we were in the flesh.”  In other words, the “Law” in stone tablets only brings death when we are in the flesh!

But now he goes on to say “we are delivered from the law in stone” so that we can serve in the “newness of the Holy Spirit” and not in the “oldness of the letter.”  He is making it very obvious now that the Law in its corruptible form (in stone or scrolls) could not make its way into men’s hearts in that form. But now in the “newness” of the Holy Spirit, we have the very same Law but no longer “detached” from us or impersonal. The very same Laws become very “intimate” as the Holy Spirit causes us to have our hearts circumcised, and the “veil” which once covered our hearts is now lifted in the very same way that the “veil” in the temple was torn in two enabling us to come into the Holy of Holies (in the King’s Chamber).

The Bride Understands the Love Letters Under the Renewed Covenant

How do we know that this is a "renewed" Covenant and not a brand new one?
In Jeremiah 31:31 the prophesy is being spoken of for this first time in scripture:

31 Behold, the days come, saith YHWH, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

The Hebrew word for "new" in this verse is seen below:

#2318 chadash khaw-dash' a primitive root; to be new; causatively, to rebuild:--renew, repair.

What this tells us is that there was a Marriage Covenant established to begin with between YHWH & Israel. But it was broken because of their idolatry. Now, did YHWH break his everlasting Covenant with Israel? No, he divorced her in Jeremiah 3:8, but his everlasting Covenant with her is not broken on his part. Therefore, Messiah's mission on earth at his first coming was to “renew, repair, and rebuild” the very same marriage Covenant that YHWH made with Israel, only this time it is a permanent covenant that will never be broken because his blood is perfect and makes perfect and permanent atonement for sins when we repent.

It is as if we are now reading all the “love letters” that he wrote for us in the Old Testament, but because our hearts were hardened to him, and we had the foreskin over our hearts (the veil which covered our hearts from seeing him), that we could not see or understand. But now under the Renewed Covenant, this “veil” or foreskin is removed from our hearts and the “love letters” (the Law of Moses) finds its way into our hearts now. Israel read the Law all those years and it did not transform her. It did not make her want to serve YHWH. Her heart was bent on idolatry because the corruptible form of the Law could not change her. But now these very same “Laws” (love letters) come alive as we read it under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and he brings new meaning to the Law. Now, under the New Covenant, Israel “has eyes to see and ears to hear” what her maker, her husband YHWH, Yahu'shua Messiah was trying to say to her all along, but she could not understand.

It is like a “bride to be” who has love letters from afar from her future husband who is gone away to war. His words cannot adequately convey his love for her. While he is away, she longs for those words in those letters to take on human flesh with arms to hold her. So she is tempted to find a convenient substitute in the arms of a strange lover. When her “husband to be” arrives home, and finds her cheating, he breaks off the engagement and ends the covenant.

But he loves her still, so he goes off to war again and is killed in battle. When she finds out that he is dead, she regrets what she did, and she mourns for him. But he is revived on the operating table with resuscitation, and now he is alive again! Now she never wants to be away from him.

He returns back home to his beloved from war again, but this time, he forms a brand new engagement with her. He takes the old engagement ring, and melts down the gold, and makes a “renewed” engagement ring using the same melted gold and the same diamond. He completely destroys the “old engagement contract” and forms a brand new one with her.

He gives her all the same letters that he had written to her before. But this time, he reads them out loud to her in her very presence and she sees his facial expressions as he reads his letters to her out loud. She weeps and mourns when she realizes that his heart was sincere all along. When she cheated on him it was because she doubted. She was merely reading his words “in the letter.” Now she has his words “engraved in her heart” as she remembers every voice inflection, every facial expression, the eye contact he makes as he reads these letters to her.

Now she is watching his body language, and suddenly the love letters are coming to life right before her eyes!

Now let us continue with Shaul's (Paul’s) letter to the Romans:

Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Did you see what he said? Israel is delivered from the “old” way that she read those love letters, and now she is serving her husband in the “newness of the spirit” behind those letters.

Shaul (Paul) continues:

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Elohim (God) forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Shaul (Paul) emphatically states here “is God’s Law a sin?” and he replies GOD FORBID!  He says that without the Law of YHWH, we would not know what sin is.

Romans 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

After Israel’s husband divorced her in Jeremiah 3:8, she was “dead to the Law” that he gave her. In his absence she no longer saw herself as an adulteress because she no longer had the marriage contract there to remind her that she was an adulteress.

Romans 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

Shaul (Paul) is illustrating that without the Law (instructions) Israel was like Abraham. She had relationship with Elohim (God) just as Abraham did. But when she became a slave to sin in Egypt, YHWH had to redeem her from sin and from Egyptian slavery. But once that marriage contract was established with Israel, her sinful nature became evident because her very nature was to commit adultery and to go after other gods. The Law exposed her sinful nature, and suddenly she is seeing herself as she really is. Her character is being shown to her. Without the marriage contract (which included God’s Laws) Israel did not see herself as an adulteress. She was like Abram (who started out as pagan) in the land of the Chaldeans, but she did not see herself as a heathen. The Law showed her that she still was an adulteress from her heart, even though she was redeemed out of Egyptian bondage physically.

What is Shaul (Paul) explaining here in the next verses? He is explaining that the Law is Holy because the marriage covenant that YHWH made with Israel was always holy from the start. But what caused this covenant to destroy her? It was her very own adulterous nature that ended up destroying Israel. Without the marriage contract, she would still be alive and still an adulteress but she would not know it.

Romans 7:

10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

Shaul (Paul) just described “another law” which is at work in this body. It is a law that makes him want to break the Laws of YHWH. That "law" is called “the Law of sin and death.”

Sha'ul (Paul) just explained in the verses above that the Law of YHWH is “holy, good & just” but we as humans are wicked and deceitful. There is no good thing in mankind. All we like sheep are gone astray. There is none that does good---no not one. All have sinned and have come short of the glory of Elohim (God). So then what has to die? The “sinful nature” inside of us must die, and the “Law” in its corruptible form (impersonal stone, the letter without relationship), that also must die.

The New Covenant Not Fully Implemented Until the Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Now the “Law” is alive again in the person of Yahu'shua Messiah and he has given us the very same “marriage covenant” which, by the way is not fully implemented yet until the Millennial Kingdom when he drinks the “Wine of the Covenant” with his bride and celebrates a Sabbath Rest with her for 1,000 years.

Until then, we only have the “first fruits” of our redemption, the engagement ring or the “seal.” The marriage covenant has not been “consummated” yet until the Feast of Tabernacles when the bride, Israel (including grafted in Church), celebrates the “marriage of the lamb” (Revelation 19).

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

You see that we who have received the “first fruits” of the Holy Spirit are still waiting for the “adoption” which is the redemption of the body! In the parable of the ten virgins, all ten virgins started out with the Holy Spirit (symbolized by oil in their lamps) but only five wise virgins made it into the marriage. Why? Because we must “overcome sin” or we will have our names blotted out of the book of life (Revelation 3:5). We must continue to the end and move on unto “perfection” by working out our own salvation with “fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12).

Shaul (Paul) continues:

Romans 7:
22 For I delight in the law of Elohim (God) after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Notice that Paul describes two laws above in verse 23:

1.) Another Law that works in his members (called the law of sin)
2.) The Law of his mind (which desires to obey the Law of YHWH)

Here, Paul says that he “delights in the law of Elohim (God)” in his inward man, but he sees another law that is at work in his body (his members) and this other law is always at war with the Laws of Elohim (God) making him want to sin. This “other law” in his members (the law of sin and death) brings him into captivity to sin. And so Shaul (Pau)l admits that the Law of Elohim (God) does not bring him into bondage, but it is his own sinful nature that brings him into bondage.

Shaul (Paul) goes on to say that it is his “body” that brings death, not the law of YHWH at all:

Romans 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

It is our “corruptible body” that is like that “old wineskin” which is unable to hold the “new wine.” The “new wine” is the marriage covenant that YHWH made with Israel but she was like that “old wineskin” (unconverted) and not able to hold that wine. You see, a wineskin is like a canteen made of animal skins sewed together. When wine begins to ferment, the fermentation has leaven in it (symbolic of sin), and this makes the wine expand, and the wine skin begins to burst because it cannot withstand the expansion of the wine.

But the “New Wine” of the New Covenant has no “leaven” or sin in it. Yahu'shua’s blood had no sin in it. His blood is a metaphor of the wine with no leaven (yeast symbolic of sin). When we receive that “New Covenant,” we have the sinless blood of Yahu'shua Messiah that cleanses us and makes a brand new wineskin that will never burst.

Not only is the wine brand new, because it is “unfermented” (without yeast or sin), but the new wine skin is our “new container” (our new bodies) that we receive at the resurrection. When the bride puts on incorruption, she will be able to hold the “new wine.”

So you see, we have the “seal” of the Holy Spirit through his sinless blood (the unfermented wine of his covenant) but we do not have the “new container” yet until we receive the “redemption of the body.” Until then, we only have the “engagement ring” but the New Covenant is not fully implemented in the earth until the “bridegroom” comes back and we drink the wine of the covenant with him in his Kingdom!

Romans 7:25 I thank Elohim (God) through Yahu'shua Messiah our Master. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of Elohim (God); but with the flesh the law of sin.

Aha! So Paul now reveals the true meaning of this letter! He says that he “serves the Law of Elohim (God) with his mind” yet with his flesh he desires to serve the “Law of sin and death.”

Shaul (Paul) is once again blowing apart this lie of Satan that we no longer should obey the Laws of YHWH! Shaul (Paul) just said that he desires to serve the Law of Elohim (God) with his mind, but his flesh wars against the Holy Spirit in him causing him to want to obey the law of sin and death.

The battle is between the "flesh" (the law of sin and death) and the "Law of the Spirit of Life" (the desire in us to keep God's Law put there by the Holy Spirit.)

And how do we overcome the “law of sin and death”?

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

And what is the “word of their testimony”? It is the very same "testimony" that Moses deposited into the ark:

Exodus 25:16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.

In other words "the word of our testimony" is the Law of YHWH deposited into our hearts!

Shalom,

Last week's report concluded with the suggestion that "Maybe it's time we non-Jewish lovers of Israel take the same DNA test that many Jews have taken. We were pleased to report that a program is being developed that will not only allow Ephraimites to take a DNA test to see if they have the markers exhibited by a majority of the 165,000 people who took the test and felt that they were Jewish; but will also provide data to develop an Ephraimite database.

This database would be of those who feel they are of Ephraim, the other house of Israel. The goal will be to see if common markers are exhibited by the majority claiming Ephraimite heritage. Hopefully, the database would grow to the point where it could be possible to identify markers associated with each of Israel's tribes.

We will continue to keep you posted on the progress of how you can participate in better understanding your heritage.
This current article,  Genetic Memory Part I, is a major step in giving us a better understanding. It is basically the talk given by the Perdomo's at the recent MIA Tampa Regional Conference.

Genetic Memory Part I

How is the Lord calling Ephraim to come back home?
·    Isaiah 27:12-13
·    12 In that day the LORD will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, O Israelites, will be gathered up one by one.
·    13 And in that day a great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship the LORD on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

The Lord, in the Bible gives us two witnesses in the physical realm that genetic memory may play a role on how He will accomplish this task of gathering the Israelites of the House of Ephraim or 10 Northern tribes or House of Israel in the end times.

   I. The First Witness Is:

·     John 10:16 -- And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

·    The sheep of the other fold are not the Jews that He is talking to at that time. The other fold are the scattered House of Ephraim in the nations all over the world, that one day will hear His voice and will become Christians, as the Bible calls them in  Acts 11:26 -"And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch."

·    Now, if the Christians or House of Ephraim are not there in Haaretz [the Land] at the time, that Yeshua came in the flesh, how are they going to know His voice if they never heard it before?

In the physical world Yeshua's voice is the Word of God, the Bible. And Yeshua asks of all of us to take the Bible to the entire world in: Mark 16: 15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

All these scattered sheep of Eprhaim or future Christians must have heard the voice of Yeshua, the Word of God, sometime in the past, to be able to recognize it and follow our Pastor.
·    John 10:5 NIV--But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."
J
ohn 10:27-- My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Our ancestor the Israelites, were called by YHVH to hear His physical voice in Horeb, 3,600 years ago. That was the time when YHVH gives us the written Word, The first five books of the Bible.
·    Deuteronomy 5:1-6
·    1 And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: "Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your hearing today, that you may learn them and be careful to observe them.
·    2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
·    3 The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.
·    4 The Lord talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire.
·    5 I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord; for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up the mountain. He said:
·    6 'I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Is it possible that the Word of YHVH was imprinted in our DNA, in our genes at that time, and were passed down from generation to generation?
·    Fear makes a memory to be recorded faster and to last longer in our brains. The thunder, smoking and lightning was a pretty scary scene for the Israelites, to the point that they ask Moses to be the intermediary between them and YHVH, so they will not die.
·    Moses told our ancestors not to fear that YHVH would want to hurt us, but to have the proper fear of reverence and awe for Who He is and what He does, to help us remember and not sin.
·    Exodus 20:20 NKJ --And Moses said to the people, "Do not fear; for God has come to test you,
·    ... and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin."

·    Could it be that we recognize the voice of Y'shua, when we hear others preach the Word of YHVH, because we carry a memory of the Bible in our genes from our ancestors that were in Horeb?

     II. The Second Witness

The second witness in the Bible is where YHVH may have recorded in our genes His Words, in this case the law. (Also is the first five books of the Bible)
·    Romans 2:14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves,  ·    15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them)
·    16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

In the physical world, the Lord tell us that He has written the law, which is His Word, in the heart of all the people that do not have access to the Bible to read it or know it. Paul tells us that is written in the heart, because is in the heart that we "feel". If we are happy, exited or sad our brains secretes cortisol, and stimulates the adrenal glands in the kidneys to secrete nor-epinephrine and epinephrine that also stimulates our heart to beat faster and stronger...so we feel it in the heart.
But we now know that for information to be transmitted from one generation to the next has to go through DNA, the genes. So we think that the Lord is saying through Paul, that He has imprinted the law in the DNA of all human beings. (That is the first five books of the Bible)

Why are we looking at the physical in a Bible study regarding the calling of Ephraim back to Haaretz?

·    When YHVH gives the promise to Abraham of his numerous descendants, Abraham like many of us spiritualized the promise, as if it was not a physical promise. He asks YHVH if it is through his servant Eliezer of Damascus that Abraham would have his progeny. And YHVH immediately corrects Abraham, stating that His promise is a physical one.
·    Genesis 15:4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, "This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir."
·    15:5 Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."
·    15:6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

We do the same; many think that the Christians are only spiritually descendants of the House of Ephraim, and can not see that many are actually physical descendants even if by one drop of DNA.

Let's review DNA to see if we can understand how the Lord, may have imprinted His Sacred Word in our genes. And How the Christians may remember that they are Israelites or Ephramites in the physical realm.
·  DNA is a book of instructions on the way that person is going to look and function. This book has a four letter alphabet: adenine (A), and thymine (T). guanine (G), and cytosine (C).
These four letters exclusively pair the A with the T only, and the G with the C only. In this way they form base pairs, and depending on their sequence, they spell "the words" in the genes to instruct the cells on  how to make a human being, as well as to dictate all its functions.

We call this DNA book of instructions the human genome and it contains aboutDNA Book
3 billion base pairs (bp) of DNA in 46 chromosomes (22 autosome pairs + 2 sex chromosomes).
·    Genes are pockets of DNA that make up the chromosomes in the nucleus of all cells. They store the information necessary for each cell to develop into the specialized cell it should be: bone, muscle, brain, eye, skin etc.
·    Even though each cell has all the chromosomes and genes, each cell does not become a full human being. This is because the genes are turned off, those that are not necessary for that cell. For example, the genes in the neurons only have turned on the genes necessary to make a neuron. The genes that determine the muscle cells, or skin cell are turned off in the neuron, even though the neuron contains all the information to make any cell in the body.
·    In the year 2003, Dr. Francis Collins (an evangelical Christian) and his
team told the world that the human genome had been completely decoded.
In other words, all the sequence of the letters in DNA of the 46 human chromosomes had been determine, and now we can read the book of our DNA.
·    So, using sophisticated machines such as the new "Affymetrix® Genome-Wide Human SNP Array 6.0" we can read the book of DNA of each one of us and check more than 1.8 million markers for genetic variation.
·    Genes for memory had been identified using this machine, in human
Chromosome #5 and #20, for example.
·    We have not been able to find acquired memory genes that can pass the
information of our ancestors to the next generation. But this is a relatively
new science and it continues to grow the information available as time
passes by.

Is there a case in nature where the information or memory of one generation has been passed down to the next, and the next, without those generations remembering the memory, and then all of the suddenly comes a fourth generation that can remember?

    I. Witness number one.

·  The Lord has given us the Monarch Butterfly migration as an example in
nature that displays this specific question of genetic memory. http://www.monarch-butterfly.com/monarch-migration.html
·  The Monarch butterfly, goes thru four stages of development:
·  Egg - Caterpillar - Pupa - Butterfly
·  And has about four generations in 1 year:
·  1) March-April: first generation lives 2-6 weeks. The butterfly mates, lays
eggs and dies in the same area where it was born. It never migrates.
·  2) May-June: second generation lives 2-6weeks. The butterfly mates, lays
eggs and dies in the same area where it was born. It never migrates.
·  3) July-August: third generation lives 2-6 weeks. The butterfly mates, lays
eggs and dies in the same area where it was born. It never migrates.
·  4) September to March: something happens and this fourth generation lives
6-8 months... As soon as the butterfly feels that it is the fall, it does not mate
and migrates south to Mexico, to the same area that its great, great
grandparents went, four generations ago. This butterfly can remember the
way to this wintering place in Mexico, even though, her parents, grandparents
and great grandparents never made the journey. But the genes that guide the
fourth generation on her migration to the same trees in Mexico, were passed
down to her in a dormant state for four generations. And then as soon as the
fall comes, the position of the sun in the sky awakens about forty dormant
genes of her DNA, turns on the GPS in her brain and guided by the antennas
with the relative position of the sun in the sky, and they migrate to the place
where they will sleep for a few months, since they can not survive the winter
place of their original birthplace, North America.

·  In February, the dormant butterflies in the trees of Mexico wakeup and mate; then they start their way back to USA, to the same places, where they were born. They lay eggs and by March the cycle of the four generations of the Monarch butterfly starts again.
·  The first time that we heard of the Monarch Butterfly was in North Carolina at the Altapass apple orchard, in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
·  They have a Monarch Conservation Project with the typical milkweed plants necessary for the butterfly's larva to thrive on. They tagged the fourth generation butterflies and have recovered them in Mexico.
·  Everyone is welcome, and as we pick apples...we can hear the amazing
information about the genetic memory depicted in the  migration of the
Monarch Butterfly:

·  "Monarchs west of the Rocky Mountains travel to small groves of trees along the California coast. Those east of the Rocky Mountains fly farther south to the forests high in the mountains of Mexico. The
monarch's migration is driven by
seasonal changes. Day length and
temperature changes influence the
movement of the Monarch."·  "In all the world, no butterflies migrate like the Monarchs of North
America.
They travel much farther than all other tropical butterflies, up to three thousand miles. They are the only butterflies to make such a long, two way migration every year. Amazingly, they fly in masses to the same winter roosts, often to the exact same trees."
·  "However, unlike birds and whales, individuals only make the
round-trip once. It is their children's grandchildren that return south the following fall."

·  We hope that you take the time to watch this 2 ½ minute video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WHIZNvEo1g You will witness the
Magnificence of Abba Father's creation. You will rejoice with Him with one of the most astounding miracles of His universe.

II. Witness Number Two:
·  II. Is there a second witness that the Lord has left for us in nature that
acquired memory may be inherited?
In 2009, Dr. Larry Feig and his team of researchers at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, conducted a set of experiments on mice and memory.  This research demonstrates the effects of a mother's environment on the learning and memory of her offspring. This experiment shows that acquired memory in the mom mice can be transmitted to her offspring. You may read about it at:

________________
·  In another note, when people experience memories of having lived that
moment in the past, sometimes they are confused and call it:
(1) Déjà vu  or
(2) The Hindus may call it reincarnation.

·    Déjà vu is believed to be an example of familiarity based recognition during déjà vu, we are convinced that we recognize the situation, but we are not sure why... May be it was a genetic memory passed from our ancestor that was awaken when we visited that place, or smell that perfume etc.

·    The Hindus sometimes remember something that happened in another life, so they think that they have lived before, and now they just re-incarnated. Again, it could be that the memory is a genetic one of one of their ancestors, passed down in a dormant state and awaken in this generation.
________________

·    Concluding: after so many generations of the 10 northern tribes, scattered through out the world, and without remembering who they are...One generation may come, where these memories stored in the genes of the cells of the brain that had been off for many generations, will then be turned on:
·    1) They hear the Word of God and become Biblical Christians.
·    2) REMEMBER who they are.
·    3) Return to Haaretz.
·    The trigger that the Lord uses to turn on that genetic memory is usually the Word of God (the voice of Yeshua); but other times the trigger for that ancient memory may be the Torah, the land of Israel, the love for the Jews, the Hebrew language, the shofar, the music, the dances, the Feasts of the Lord or even Shabbat.

·    Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

1.   Watch for upcoming  Genetic memory part II:
2.   Which DNA tests are available to help us build the DNA database, so we in the future  may identify genetic markers for the House of Ephraim, as many have already been identified in 165,000 brothers of the house of Judah, like the Cohenim genetic marker of the Y-Chromosome of the Levite tribe.
3.   1) Y- Chromosome genetic markers in males.
4.   2) Mitochondrial DNA (mt-Dna) genetic markers: males and females.

We are engaged in a War of Words
Be sure that you are well armed!

For Ephraim to once a again become a mighty man ready for YHVH's Whistle to return to the land and join with his brother  Judah, and together defeat their enemies, he must increase his numbers (Zech 10:7-12). This requires that lost sheep become found sheep. This transformation under the guidance of the Ruach Ha Kodesh can best be accomplished by providing appropriate verbal and written information, and fellowship to lost sheep.
Israel Revealed 1     Twenty thousand copies Ephraim and Judah - Israel Revealed which have been distributed in the past have been a key factor in turning lost sheep into found sheep. It has proven to be an excellent initial word weapon.

However, Batya's classic "handout book" Ephraim and Judah - Israel Revealed, is now out of print in paper, but it is available as a free eBook. Click here to download. Several people have asked for the eBook on a CD. So we have made it  available on a CD which is available at  Key of David Marketplace $4 (to cover shipping and handling costs).
The good news is that we will soon have a new and improved version of this classic book. It willWho Is Israel? - Redeemed Israel - A Digest 2 be titled, Who Is Israel - Redeemed Israel - A Digest. This exciting new overview will make an excellent and inexpensive handout book. It can now be pre-ordered at a very special price at Key of David Marketplace and is now due for delivery in late November or early December.    We encourage you to listen to a new song, written by Batya and recorded by our friend, Will Spires. The song is titled "I AM YHVH" and it is truly inspiring. You might want to listen to it before you pray. The song is about the Father's heart cry for His chosen people: Judah and Ephraim. You can hear it as you enter the Zachariah's Patrol website or Key of David Marketplace, and it can be downloaded for free at Key of David Marketplace.Several people have asked for the song on a cd so they can play it in their cars. So we have made available at Key of David Marketplace. a CD that has seven renditions of the song for $4 (to cover shipping and handling costs).
