Ministry Opportunities

Connection of the Week

Most of you familiar with my teachings know that I teach how to understand Messianic prophecy in the Tanakh.  The key is knowing when a passage is Messianic or not.  The teaching that reveals this so that anyone can have a road to Emmaus experience is called the Sign of the Messiah.  Basically, any time you see someone who for all intents and purposes should die, and then, their life is spared, as well as the number three, then that passage is Messianic.  Most of you have probably kept up with the saga of the Chilean miners.  I did not keep up with it; however, as you know, they were rescued this week.  As I road home from work I listened to Janet Parshall's In the Marketplace, her excellent talk show pertaining to a Christian perspective of the news headlines.  She had the story behind the story from a Christian perspective.  It was very informative listening to many of the "coincidences" in the unfolding drama.  Anyway, when I arrived home I received an e-mail from one of my dear talmidim who subscribes to this weekly e-letter.  The title was "thematic madness."  I was instantly interested because I wrote an article years ago entitled Thematic Madness, where I applied the Sign of the Messiah teaching to my own personal life.  There was a time when I was supposed to die, as THREE, doctors had given me up.  In the e-mail, my talmid noted that there were 33 Chilean minors and that they had been in the mine for 69 days (all multiples of THREE!)  Well. she got me to thinking about this.  I immediately thought about what I had learned from In the Marketplace.  Janet noted that THREE of the miners were already saved Christians.  Then she noted that THREE people got saved as a result of this ordeal (two of the miners and one of their wives!)  Then I noted how closely this parallels one of my major teachings concerning the Sign of the Messiah.   One of the clearest examples of Messianic prophecy of the death, burial and resurrection of the Messiah occurs when someone goes into a pit/hole of the earth and then comes out alive.  This is exactly what happened with the Chilean miners.  With these teasers in mind I decided to read an article about this real life story which confirms what I've taught about messianic prophecy.  Here are a few lines from a FOXNEWS article.  Note the instances of THREE, and multiples of THREE as well as words and phrases that frequently appear in my teachings on the Sign of the Messiah.
This is quite a connection of the week!!!

  • ·      After 69 Days, All 33 Chilean Miners Have Been Rescued
  • ·      The last of the Chilean miners, the foreman who held them together when they were feared lost, was raised from the depths of the earth Wednesday night
  • ·      it turned out to be 69 days and about 8 hours
  • ·      In nearby Copiapo, about 3,000 people gathered in the town square
  • ·      "Welcome to life," Pinera told Victor Segovia
  • ·      "We have prayed to San Lorenzo, the patron saint of miners, and to many other saints so that my brothers Florencio and Renan would come out of the mine all right. It is as if they had been born again," said Priscila Avalos.
  • ·      No one in recorded history has survived as long trapped underground.
  • ·      Two hours later came the oldest, Mario Gomez, 63
  • ·      More than 300 people at the mine alone had worked on the rescue or to sustain them during their long wait by lowering rocket-shaped tubes dubbed "palomas," Spanish for carrier pigeons.
  • ·      Dr. Guillermo Swett said Sepulveda told him about an internal "fight with the devil" that he had inside the mine.
  • ·      Chile has promised that its care of the miners won't end for six months at least

The Sign of the Messiah Online - The Teaching Every Messianic Should See, Lest They Give In To Anti-Missionary's!!!

It's been a long time coming, but finally I have a good copy of The Sign of the Messiah online.  Many of you are familiar with the teaching of the Sign of the Messiah through the Torah lessons.  Now RTM has an 83 minute DVD quality teaching on the web site.  This is THE teaching that sets the record straight concerning whether or not Yeshua is the Messiah!  Many of you have seen the presentation.  If you have not, I strongly encourage you to view/listen.  Many Messianics are denying Yeshua as the Messiah simply because they cannot find Him in the Torah/Tanakh.  This teaching proves to anyone who is willing to listen that Yeshua is the Messiah.  It is unique in that it presents a Messianic paradigm from the Torah!  That's right.  We go to the Torah and discover what it says about the Messiah.  We prove beyond a shadow of doubt that the death, burial and resurrection of Yeshua in three days is the most prophesied event concerning the Messiah in the Torah as well as the entirety of the Tanakh.  If, after reading the last sentence you're thinking, "How does the Tanakh teach about death, burial and resurrection in three days?" then this teaching is for you.  Please view this teaching and pass the link on to anyone who is struggling with Yeshua being the Messiah.  It's free!  In fact, help me by e-mailing the link to any and all of your friends.

The video is located here...

It is also now a major link on my homepage.  Get the word out!  You can help.  View it, then send it with your recommendation.  Especially send it to people struggling with the Messiahship of Yeshua.

The trailer for my new song (COMING SOON) entitled The Sign of the Messiah is here...

RTM is Now on You Tube!

RTM has begun uploading YouTube video teachings!  As long as you go to the link below and watch the videos there you won't have any problems with unwanted content.  I currently have two separate PLAYLISTS on YouTube, 1) Chiastic Revelations and 2) Resurrection in the Torah! The link to the RTM YouTube web site is . . .

Here are the latest two uploads . . .

Once there, near the top of the page click on PLAYLISTS and you'll see the two playlists on the right-hand side of the page where you will be able to click on the teachings.  They are numbered, 1, 2, 3,... for ease of remembering where you are.  These are expansions on thematic teachings from the Torah lessons.  Be on the look out for a good mix of YouTube and Power Point and Video presentations.  You absolutely almost can't believe how extensive this teaching is.  But it's here, it's there, it's every where.  In fact, Adonai is literally shouting out to us through the pages of Scripture teaching us this most blessed of truths - Resurrection occurs on day THREE!  So, GET READY!

The Restoration of Torah Ministries’ Think Tank
Strictly speaking, a think tank is an organization, institute, corporation, or group that conducts research. The term think tank itself, however, was originally used in reference to organizations that offered military advice, most notably the RAND Corporation, formed originally in 1945. Until around 1970, there were no more than several dozen think tanks, mostly focused on offering non-partisan policy and military advice to the United States government, and generally with large staffs and research budgets. After 1970, the number of think tanks exploded, as many smaller think tanks were formed to express various partisan, political, and ideological views. Some of you may be familiar with many of the conservative (and liberal) think tanks around.
Well, RTM doesn’t have a “large staff and research budget,” neither does it give military advice to the US governmnet. So, what is the RTM Think Tank?
It’s a web page devoted to presenting you with cutting edge thematic research of the scriptures. If you have studied the Torah lessons on this site (The Parashat HaShavuah Link) then you know that Adonai has arranged His eternal Words thematically. Furthermore, you've seen many examples of how themes converge to teach many, many truths. Well, I'd like to follow-up by presenting you with more studies designed to show you how the scriptures come alive when you begin to make thematic connections! These are fresh revelations not covered in the Torah lessons. You will find teachings devoted to uncovering some of the staggering number of chiastic structures and parallelisms found in the Word. But we don't stop at uncovering them. We will examine them for their theological content. These studies will 1) enhance your understanding of the scriptures and help you learn how to apply principles of thematic study. The ThinkTank is located at the following link...  The RTM Messianic Think Tank

The Scroll of the Gospel of David - Discovering a prophecy of the death, burial and resurrection of Yeshua in II Samuel 15:10 - 20:2
The book, The Scroll of the Gospel of David - If you have not bought a copy, I urge you to consider doing so. This book is an amazing source of Messianic information from an "Old Testament" perspective. There are very few sources that make such extensive use of the Tanakh (Old Testament) to prove that Yeshua is the Messiah. The Scroll of the Gospel of David is one such source. It is a practical application of what you learn each week during the Torah lessons you study from RTM. Again, if you don't have a copy...Get One! You will not be disappointed! If you would like, you can purchase The Scroll of the Gospel of David. Just go to the following web page . . .
The Scroll of the Gospel of David
. . . and you will find instructions on where to purchase. It is an 8 1/2 x 11 inch paperback book that sells for 18.00 + shipping and handling. It can be shipped throughout the world.

Hebrew Version is Here!

It can be purchased at the webpage marketkplace.

Torah To The Nations - The RTM Parashat HaShavuah is already translated into Dutch & Spanish.  But can you believe we may soon have them in German, French, Urdu, Panjabi and Russian as well as various articles in Africaan!
Due to faithful translators who want their people to study RTM's Torah lessons in their native tongue, we are able to offer the weekly Torah lessons in Dutch and Spanish. The Dutch page is up and running and so is the Spanish page. If you'd like to see this week's Torah lesson in Dutch click here >>>>> Link To All Dutch Torah Lessons
For the Spanish lesson click here >>>>> Link To All Spanish Torah Lessons
For the French lesson click here >>>>> Link To All French Torah Lessons
As you know, the Torah lessons from RTM are in Spanish. Well...they've also been translated into Dutch! But wait! Soon, they will be translated in, Russian, French and German!!! Yes, you've heard me correctly!  In fact, I'm working on having them translated into Urdu and Panjabi (languages of Pakistan)!!!  I would much appreciate your prayers that Adonai would use the teachings from this website to be a blessing to peoples around the world!  Also, our Dutch translators will begin translating my book, The Scroll of the Gospel of David into Dutch later this year as an e-Book.
If you know how life changing these Torah lessons are and have a burden to see them translated into your native language, please see if Adonai would have you be a blessing by translating them!

Shalom, The Robinson's
week

"The Land of Israel's Place in the Torah" by Rabbi Eliezer Melamed

The Land of Israel's Place in the Torah
                                                                                    Rabbi Eliezer Melamed

Now and then, people question the importance of the Land of Israel, as if to imply that the settlers are overly occupied with this mitzvah and exaggerate its importance. True, indeed, one must be careful that the pursuit of a specific mitzvah does not result in the weakening of other mitzvoth. At the same time, it is imperative to know that the significance of the Land of Israel is one of the foundations of the Torah. Anyone who learns Torah truthfully can plainly see this. Nevertheless, since even after all that has been written in the Torah there are still skeptics, I thought to myself that this year I would dedicate a portion of my weekly column to bring to attention the centrality of the Land of Israel.
Behold, in this week's Torah portion, our forefather Abraham is commanded "Go away from your land" to the Land of Israel. He arrives at Elon Moreh, or Schem, in the heart of Samaria, and God appears to him, saying: "I will give this land to your offspring" (Genesis 12:7). The meaning is all of the Land of Israel, but the main emphasis is on the place where he is standing – in Samaria, which together with the lands of Judah and Benjamin, comprise the heart of the land. The Sages add (as Rashi comments), when Abraham was in Schem, God showed him "Mount Gerizim (Har Bracha) and Mount Eval, where Israel received the oath of the Torah."
Due to a famine in the land, Abraham was forced to descend to Egypt, and when he returned to the area of Beit El, God once again appears to him, saying: "Raise your eyes, and, from the place where you are now [standing], look to the north, to the south, to the east, and to the west. For all the land that you see, I will give to you and to your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth; if a man will be able to count [all] the grains of dust in the world, then your offspring also will be countable"(Genesis 13:14-17). From this we learn that in the merit of inheriting the land, we also merit the increase of our offspring. We also learned that, specifically from the place where he was standing, from Beit El in the mountains of Benjamin, our forefather Abraham was commanded to view the breadth of the entire land, and to know that all of it is designated to his offspring. Accordingly, the command continues: "Rise, walk the land, through its length and breadth, for I will give it [all] to you." Abraham then goes to the area of Hebron.
Once again, at the "Pact between Halves" ('brit bein ha'betarim'), God repeats to Abraham: "I am God who took you out of Ur Casdim to give you this land as a possession." Concerned, Abraham asks: "How can I really know that it will be mine?" (Genesis 15:7-8).
Once more, later in the Torah portion, we learn that even the mitzvah of brit milah (circumcision), is bound and interconnected with the Land of Israel, for through the brit (covenant) we inherit the land, as is written: "To you and your offspring I will give the land where you are now living as a foreigner. The whole land of Canaan shall be [your] eternal heritage, and I will be a God to [your descendants]" (Genesis 17:8).
And here, today, we have merited returning and settling in the land of our forefathers, in the holy places where the Heavenly promises were spoken. The more Jews who ascend the mountains to settle them, the more we will merit the realization of God's promise. The mouths of our enemies will be stifled, and we will merit dwelling securely in our land.

What is Shabbat Shalom?

Jews all over the world read a portion of the Torah, the Five Books of Moses, in the synagogue every Shabbat morning.  The cycle begins right after the Feast of Tabernacles and concludes the following year at the end of the Feast of Tabernacles.  Traditionally, Jewish families discuss the Torah portion at their Shabbat Table, bringing new insights, each year, to the same inspirational words and stories that they have been reading for years. In this weekly column, Sondra Oster Baras, CFOIC Heartland's Israel Director, shares her personal reflections on the weekly Torah portion.

Lech Lecha (Go Forth)
Genesis 12:1 - 17:27

"And G-d said to Abram go forth from your country and from your birth place and from your father's house to the land that I will show you." (Genesis 12:1) So begins this week's Torah reading. And what a reading it is. If there was ever a "Zionist" Torah reading it's this one. And each year, we are reminded that G-d chose Abraham out of all the people of the earth, and made him the father of our nation and the recipient of G-d's promises for the Jewish people.

"And Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem to the Oak of Moreh, and the Canaanite was then in the land." (Gen. 12:6) This marks Abram's entry into the Land of Israel and immediately afterwards, G-d appears to Abraham and makes an amazing promise: "I will give this land to your children." (Gen. 12:7)

Imagine the scene. Abraham is 75 years old, he is married to Sarah, he is traveling with Lot and his entire family, but he has no children. He has spent his entire life in Ur of the Chaldees and a few years in Haran and then G-d speaks to him and tells him to leave it all behind and go to a different land. In fact, when G-d first tells Abraham to leave, he doesn't even tell him where he will end up. He just says "to the land that I will show you." And Abraham is totally obedient to G-d and goes forward, not knowing what he will find when he gets there.

But the first thing he does see is the mountains of Samaria. Up on top of those mountains outside of Shechem he is promised "this land." And, let me assure you, from the mountains outside Shechem you can see just about all of "this land." I believe that this is the reason that G-d does not delineate the borders of Israel at this point -- G-d points out the land to Abraham and he can see it with his own eyes. He can see it and I'm sure he falls in love with it.

But he makes no attempt to conquer the land. G- d has said very clearly that this land would be given to his children. And, Scripture emphasizes this idea with the statement -- the Canaanite was then in the land.

Many of you have heard me discuss these verses in my talks about the Land of Israel. Everything we are doing today in Israel, the essence of the connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel, is established in these few verses in the Bible, back in the time of Abraham. Without understanding and accepting the truth of these verses, the Jewish right to the Land cannot be understood.

But today I want to add one more thought. G-d made many promises to the Jewish people, but not all of the promises were to be fulfilled at once. As with this promise to Abraham, which would ultimately be fulfilled hundreds of years later, the ultimate possession by the Jewish people of the Land, in any generation, depends on G-d's timing.

But at the same time, we, as human beings, must be attuned to G-d's timing. Abraham did not conquer the land during his generation because it was clear to him that the right time would come later. And it did, when Joshua led the Children of Israel into the land.

So too, when the Jewish people began returning to the Land, they did so slowly, purchasing land whenever possible, working the land that was available to them. In 1948, the State of Israel was established by vote of the United Nations. Clearly, this was a signal that G-d's time had begun. What was left to us was to be attuned to that timing -- for Jews to make aliyah (immigrate to Israel) and for non- Jews to support our efforts to do so. In 1967, in a war that we did not ask to fight, the rest of Israel was given to us. Again, G-d made it clear that the timing was right. What was left to us was to follow His lead and settle the land.

That is what we have been doing for more than 100 years, since the beginning of modern Zionism. That is what we have been doing intensively since 1948, when the State of Israel was born. And that is what we, the people of Judea, Samaria and Gaza, have been doing since 1967, when the center of Biblical Israel became ours again.

May we all have the strength and the courage to follow G-d's timing and do what He has in mind for us.

Shabbat Shalom from Samaria,
Sondra
