About The Commentaries

Traditional Judaism follows a yearly Torah and Haftarah reading cycle in which the Torah (the First Five Books of Scripture) is divided into weekly portions that have an accompanying excerpt from one of the Prophetic books that relates to the theme being presented.
As Believers in Messiah Yeshua, we also include portions from the New Testament, so that we will be reading form the whole counsel of our Father's Holy Word.
Each of these portions contain several chapters. Since each parashah contains untold numbers of nuggets of truth, it is impossible for any one person to present all of the truths in one weekly volume. As we go through the annual cycle, we find new, encouraging, and inspiring bits of truth. Each commentator brings different aspects to light, and we encourage open discussion on biblical passages, and thus the views expressed are those of the author and not necessarily those of the Messianic Israel Alliance or its members and affiliates.

  1. Hello!
You wrote: “As Believers in Messiah Yeshua, we also include portions from the New Testament,”

[To differentiate,]The historical Mashiakh [“Messiah”] was a Ribi named Yehoshua.

His authentic teachings were written down by his apprentice student Matityahu and were later redacted into the “gospel of Matthew”. In his true teachings one finds that he taught – just that which is written in the Tank’’h (which Christians erroneously call the “Old testament”)) – that humankind are required to do their utmost to keep the directives in Torah non-selectively. The followers of Ribi Yehoshua were called the Netzarim.

Ribi Yehoshua didn’t teach the “gospel”, and his followers didn’t endorse the “NT” and don’t endorse the “NT”. Proof of all of these statements on www.netzarim.co.il

Relating to the Creator exactly in the same way Ribi Yehoshua did – i.e. observing the Creators directives in the Torah – leads oneself into an intimate relationship with the Creator, which is very meaningful!

  2. Shalom Anders,

To make something 'clear'. Many of us don't agree with: 'Ribi Yehoshua didn’t teach the “gospel”, and his followers didn’t endorse the “NT” and don’t endorse the “NT”.'
Most of us 'The WatchMen' believe that the HaBerith HaChadashah has the same value as the Tenach. And most of His followers believe what you can find on our blogs.... .
I try to select from 'the good' followers so good as possible.... .
So what they said on 'www.netzarim.co.il' I don't have so much interest. Long time back I was reading there..... .

    Blessings,

    Ariel

  3. Shalom Anders,

Thank you for your comments. It is good to hear where others are in their lives. But at the same time we need to be consistant with the writings of the TaNaK even if one did not recoginise the New Testament as being written by the inspiration of the Ruach HaKodesh to the Apostles and disciples of Yeshua. The New Testament is 80% confirmation and referenced directly from the TaNaK the Torah. There are many scriptures spoken of in the Brit Chadasha, that come from the Torah, which is the Five Books of Mosheh, the Nebi'im which is the Prophets and the Kethubim the writings.

The other 20% is mainly Prophecy of the unfolding end-time events. There is no other book in the whole world that has been kept untouched and unchanged since the beginning of Creation by our King and Mashiach. Neither is there one like it nor ever will be. Never has there been a book with 100% perfect prophecies foretold that have come to pass accurately and on time.

I have been studing The Scriptures for years, you cannot remove Yeshua Mashiach and His apostles as they are confirmation of the whole Torah and TaNaK.
SHEMA YISRO'EL YHWH : Debarim / Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear O Yisra'el: YHWH our Elohim, YHWH is one! Yeshua is YHWH in the Flesh ~ YHWH IS SALVATION
Yeshua means YHWH IS SALVATION. You cannot even take Salvation away from YHWH. HE IS ONE ECHAD with Salvation. YHWH and YESHUA is ECHAD.

So one cannot contradict the writings of YHWH even the New Testament agrees and is 100%.

An EXCELLENT 12 hour teaching which is very simple and clear and totaly backed up with Scripture ONLY is available on "YESHUA: from GENESIS to REVELATION"
by Rabbi Eddie Chumney. It explains who is Yeshua and His Authority and Truth and where does He come from and what exactly He has done since THE BEGINNING.

The DVD set of the teaching comes in a 6 DVD Pack and is available to purchase online from Hebraic Heritage Ministries International, P.O. Box 81 Strasburg, OHIO 44680
www.hebroots.org you can go to the website shop. You can also write to Rabbi Eddie Chumney at the same address. He is also on GLC God's Learning Channel.

You are welcome at any time to make enquiries.

Wonderful to share with you and Blessings in the name of Messiah Yeshua,
    Lyn

  4. So many people have many views about so much in the Tanak and in the Bible, and they are all called truth.

What really should matter is that what Y'Shuah taught was very consistent with what YHVH taught. This means that the teachings were the same.

People get caught up to much with who knows what, and who is right and wrong, which is ego instead of looking at the bond between us which is the love for YHVH and for Y'Shuah. Following the teachings, no matter if they are called Gospels or not.

We are to be coming together in ONE Truth which is the teachings, not cause more of a division between each other.

    Sarah
