Peace and Security?

 Paul told the lost sheep that were found at Thessalonica:
"Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
While people are saying, "There is peace and security," then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day.
We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober" (1Thessolonians 5:1-6).
Children of Light... let us not sleep!
As noted in the Zechariah's Vision and the Quartet December 25th update, please read this news report from the Arabic Daily, Asharq Al-Aawsat. You can see for yourself, from the excerpt below, which clearly shows that momentum is building for the declaration of a independent Palestinian State by summer 2011, peace treaty or no peace treaty. This could be an ignition fuse for Mid- East war as the nations from around the globe oppose Israel and seek to divide the land and Jerusalem. After all, if we just read the words of Paul as they are written, he never said there would be a peace treaty.
"After the Israeli - Palestinian negotiations broke down over the issue of an Israeli settlement freeze, the Palestinian side have taken another track, attempting to gain international recognition of a Palestinian state. Indeed, the Palestinian side has achieved successes in this regard, particularly in Latin America, with Brazil, Argentina, and Bolivia officially recognizing an independent state of Palestine along its 1967 borders, and Ecuador, Uruguay, and Paraguay expected to officially recognize a state of Palestine within the next year. There have also been successes in Europe, with France, Portugal, and Norway increasing the diplomatic status of Palestine.
Asharq Al-Awsat spoke to Palestinian National Authority Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad al-Maliki about the diplomatic effort being exerted by the Palestinians to gain international recognition for the state of Palestine. Al-Maliki attributed the successes mentioned above to "collective effort and cumulative work, in which everyone participated, from the President, through to the government, and ending with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our embassies. This was not something new, but rather a continued effort which has been carried out for a significant period."
Al-Maliki added "so far, we have succeeded in convincing France, Spain and Portugal, in terms of countries from the European Union [to increase our diplomatic status], and then last week there was the Norwegian initiative, which has been strongly attacked by the Israeli Foreign Ministry."
Only Judah is in the Promised Land today, but Scripture tells us time and again that Ephraim will return, it is a great promise, but one you may not be familiar with. Yet since 1948, it is Judah and some companions that are first in the land... but the whistle may soon go out from God YHVH for mighty man Ephraim to join Judah in the land.
"When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man" (Zechariah 9:13).
Judah has always led the way since the Exodus, but Ephraim will be called to join him, to help him, so is it any wonder that Zechariah tells us what God has to say on the matter: And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I [am] the LORD their God, and will hear them. And [they of] Ephraim shall be
like a mighty [man], and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see [it], and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. I will whistle for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased (Zechariah 10:6-8).
Today the news points to this difficult time for Judah, the Jews of today's Israel: "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves" (Zechariah 12:2-3).
The word stone here is (eben), its Hebrew word meaning includes "plummet" (stones of destruction) made of metal ore, a tool for a weapon. Something that weighs down or oppresses; a burden, suddenly and steeply. I am no prophet, but if this is the day that may soon stand before us, and if you feel the call to pray for Israel, if you have a heart of concern for Judah - then you must prepare yourself now. You need to start by knowing your identity in God's eyes, in His word. After all, you already know the goal of the Quartet and its member nations is to divide Israel geographically into three parts, two for the Palestinians including 1) Gaza and the 2) West Bank, leaving 3) Israel the territory between these two. (This is easily seen on the map above.)
But you need to know what that means to you. Consider this. Zechariah warns us regarding the events we see today. Israel the third part of the divided land, will come through the fire but you will not be a bystander for long and you need to know why.
"And it shall come to pass, [that] in all the land, saith YHVH, two parts therein shall be cut off [and] die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It [is] my people: and they shall say, YHVH [is] my God" (Zechariah 13:8-9).
In Biblical time, silver was probably obtained by smelting lead and sulphur ore ore. After the ore was reduced to a metallic condition at about 1,200 degrees, the lead was separated from the silver by blasting hot air over the melted metal, leaving the pure silver. The time of God's refining is approaching. It's gonna get hot, real hot, and you need to be ready. Start by returning, repent go back to the ways of The Lord YHVH. Zechariah give us this word:
"Therefore tell them: Thus says the LORD of Hosts: 'Return to me,' says the LORD of Hosts, 'and I will return to you,' says the LORD of Hosts" (Zechariah 1:3).
You may want to read and consider the initial Zechariah's Vision and The Quartet study for the background to these news events regarding The Quartet's involvement in their covenant of nations to separate the land into three areas which is the disguised as a "Peace Agreement" for the
division of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian state surrounding Israel on two opposing sides.
Is Isaiah is telling us this about the Peace goals led by The Quartet? I am not sure, but the message is even more telling if we just look into the Hebrew:
Why hear the word of the LORD, you scoffers, that rule this people that is in Jerusalem: And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only [to] understand the report (Isaiah 28:17-19).
In Hebrew the word referred to her as "vexation" is zĕva`ah it shall be a object of terror to understand the news.
Isaiah tells us that a covenant will be annulled. Is Isaiah writing about the Quartet's plan to divide the land? Like I said, I do not know this, Paul warns us the real problems start when they say "THERE IS" Peace and Security. Not when they say "let's make" Peace and Security.
