Can we do תפילות prayers for:
That also through them The האור Light, רפואה The Healing and The ואהבה Love of ישועת יהוה Yeshuath YHWH may come back to הארץ The Land of Israel?
Shalom Chaverim,
I learned something this week that I found amazing. The Aaronic priesthood was connected to the tribe of Judah in a very physical way! Aaron, a Levite, married Elisheva from the tribe of Judah!
Shemot 6:23 Aaron took to himself Elisheva, daughter of Amminadav, sister of Nahshon, as wife; and she bore him Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Elisheva’s brother, Nahshon, was the Prince of Judah, the tribe to which Jacob entrusted with the guardianship of the Torah:
Bemidbar 2:3 "On the east side, toward the rising of the sun, those of the standard of the forces with Judah shall camp according to their armies; and Nahshon the son of Amminadav shall be the prince of the children of Judah."
The thread of the lineage of Amminadav, father-in-law of Aaron, continues through the Scriptures:
Ruth 4:18 Now this is the genealogy of Perez: Perez begot Hezron; 19 Hezron begot Ram, and Ram begot Amminadav; 20 Amminadav begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon; 21 Salmon begot Boaz, and Boaz begot Obed; 22 Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David.
As the ancestor of King David, we find Amminadav one more time in the lineage of our Messiah:
Matthew 1:2 Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. 3 Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. 4 Ram begot Amminadav, Amminadav begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. 5 Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, 6 and Jesse begot David the king.
Without the Torah, the Priest was helpless. It is very interesting, therefore, to take note of the marriage between these two tribes at the very beginning of the making of the Tabernacle.
Shabbat Shalom!
Ardelle
