July 2, 2011:
Welcome to El Shaddai Ministries! Each Saturday Pastor Mark Biltz will be teaching a series on "The Road to Emmaus" and The Gospels & Acts from a Hebraic perspective Part I: "The Road to Emmaus" Pastor Mark Biltz CHUKAT – STATUTE/ORDINANCE Numbers 19-21 / Judges 11 / John 11,12 Numbers 19:1,2
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, This is the ordinance hqx of the law hrwt which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: Numbers 19:9-12 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin. And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever. He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days. He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean. (See notes for more...) Part II: "The Gospels & Acts from a Hebraic Perspective" John 11:1-3 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. John 11:6-8 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was. Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again. His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? John 11:11 ..and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. John 11:14-16 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him. John 11:17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already. (See notes for more...)
