commentary from Ardelle

Can we do תפילות prayers for:

Ardelle and Cal?

So that through them The האור Lightרפואה The Healing and The ואהבה Love of ישועת יהוה Yeshuath YHWH may come back to הארץ The Land of Israel?

Shalom Friends!

1 Peter 1:14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy.

Is “holiness” a concept that we can give our own definition to?  It seems there is a standard there for obedience through which we can reflect His holy nature.

Basic to the Israelite’s faith was that they were called to separate the Holy from the profane or the common.  The first thing set apart as Holy was the Sabbath.

Bereshith 2:3 Then Elohim blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because in it He rested from all His work which Elohim had created and made.

This week we begin the book of holiness, Vayikra.  Vayikra is the context from which came the commission in 1 Peter to “be holy”:

Vayikra 11:44 'For I am YHWH your Elohim. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy.

Vayikra 19:2 'Speak to the whole community of Israelites and say: "Be holy, for I, YHWH your Elohim, am holy.

This year as you study Vayikra, pray that the Holy Spirit will give you insight into how to shine with His holiness “in all your conduct”.  We live in a world where many long to see Him!

Shabbat Shalom!
Ardelle
