Can we do תפילות prayers for:
Ardelle and Cal?That also through them The האור Light, רפואה The Healing and The ואהבה Love of ישועת יהוה Yeshuath YHWH may come back to הארץ The Land of Israel?
Shalom Mishpacha!
I just listened to President Obama address the United Nations Assembly. I heard something out of his mouth that I hope is true...America's commitment to Israel's security is unshakable. He mentioned how many of Israel's citizens have been killed by terrorists and how Israel's children grow up knowing that other children are taught to hate them. Also, how surrounding unfriendly nations desire to wipe them off of the map. And he mentioned that the holocaust happened. He called it a fact. OK, I'm trying to be positive about some of what he said.
To the world, his speech may have seemed positive. He mentioned that the deadlock between Israel and the Palestinians will only be broken when each agrees to stand in the others' shoes. How does that work? As John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN said, "as if acts of terrorism and acts of self defense are the same thing."
President Obama also made two comments on peace:
1. Peace depends on freedom
2. Peace depends on compromise
John 8:31 Then Yeshua said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Psalm 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your Torah is truth.
It is true that peace depends on freedom. It is just a matter of confusion of what it is that makes us free.
It was compromising the truth that Balaam used to hurt the Israelites:
Bemidbar 31:16 "Look, these women caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against YHWH in the incident of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of YHWH.
If you want to read of the compromise at Peor, you can read of it in Bemidbar 25.
Obviously, compromising the truth does not bring peace.
Psalm 2:1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against YHWH and against His Anointed...10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth. 11 Serve YHWH with fear, And rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.
Shabbat Shalom!
Ardelle
