The fact is we are simply way too busy with preparations for Sukkot,  (beginning Wednesday evening). The four days which separate Yom Kippur from Sukkot enjoy their own unique status. Sweet and sublime. They are different from any other day of the year. Following the intense drama of Rosh HaShana, in which we declare unequivocally G-d's kinship and sovereignty over all creation, and the supreme exertion of Yom Kippur, in which we transcend our own imperfections and return to the person G-d intended us to be, the four days leading up to Sukkot are filled with a lightness of spirit and a unity of purpose.

Sukkos Moving Fast Into The Garden The Midrash relates that bringing together the "arba'ah minim" - four species on Succos, represents the notion that all of Bnei Yisroel are one and should be viewed as such regardless of their level of commitment to Judaism. The "esrog" - citron has both a taste and a fragrance, thus representing those amongst Bnei Yisroel who possess Torah knowledge and good deeds. The "lulav" - palm branch, which lacks fragrance but has a taste contained in the dates produced by the palm tree, depicts those Jews who possess Torah knowledge but lack good deeds. The "hadas" - myrtle branch possesses a fragrance but lacks a taste, reflecting those Jews who practice good deeds but do not engage in the study of Torah. The "aravah" - willow branch has neither a taste nor a fragrance, representing those amongst Bnei Yisroel who have no Torah knowledge and do not engage in good deeds[1].

We can find the name Sukkoth in Gen. 33:17 "And Jacob journeyed to Succoth; and built for himself a house, and made booths for the livestock, therefore the place is named Sukkoth." What a week.  So many things happening in the world, I don't even know how to comment.  I guess it just goes along with the meaning of this week's parashah, Re'eh, which translates to "See."  It is interesting that the Hebrew word "re'eh" is singular as presented in Devarim 11:26.  It actually translates "YOU see."     Let's take a look at the verse in it's entirety:
